We owe a huge Thank You to Rockport Roost for these wonderful birds!!
Come meet our pairs:
Millie & Elvis: These guys are both huge! Definitely the biggest yellowsideds I have seen. They were very prolific for Rockport Roost so we will hopefully enjoy some babies from this pair this fall. I truly believe that these guys will throw some nice, show quality, stock. Update: As of 10/17/08 - Millie & Elvis have been "working" their box and we eggspect and egg from Millie within the week.
Mercedes & Beamer: Gorgeous doesn't describe these birds! Both are visual yellowsided but are also split to turquoise. They should produce yellowsided/turquoise males & females, turquoise females, turquoise/yellowsided males, yellowsided males & females (possibly split turquoise), and turquoise-yellowsided males & females. Update: As of 10/17/08 - Mercedes & Beamer have been "working" their box and should be laying within the next week or two. This will be their first clutch so fingers crossed.
Princess & Merlin: Princess is a VERY RED Pineapple hen. She is also very likely split turquoise. Merlin is a normal/turquoise/yellowsided/cinnamon male. They should produce pineapple males & females, yellowsided females, yellowsided/cinnamon males, cinnamon females, cinnamon/yellowsided males, normal females, normal/cinn/yellowsided males. If Princess is split turquoise, we could get visual turquoise pinapples, yellowsided, cinnamon, etc. All babies not visual turquoise would have a greater than 50% chance of being split for turquoise. If Princess is not split turquoise, then only 25% of the babies would be split and the only way to know would be when they are bred. These guys are young and won't be set up until Feb/March of 2009.
OUR PRICING:
Babies will be handfed, close-banded, weaned to a wide variety of foods and fully weaned before they go to their new homes. A hatch certificate and information about the parents and grandparents (if known) will be provided. We will be DNA sexing ALL babies and can make unrelated pairs if desired. Prices will be posted when we have chicks in the nursery.
